Hi, I’m Julie Wilsey, the owner of Barney & Coco's, and I want to thank you for visiting us and note that I opened this salon because working with animals is my lifelong passion. I will strive to make your pet’s grooming experience comfortable and stress free. I use Pet Grooming Products that are safe, healthy and effective, specializing in high quality grooming for dogs and cats in a low stress & loving environment.

For most pets groomed, I use 100% All-Natural and Organic Pet Grooming Products that are safe, healthy and effective, specializing in high quality grooming for dogs and cats in a low stress & loving environment.
We have over six types of all natural shampoos including oatmeal, hypo-allergenic, flea, whitening and others all designed to create a healthy and beautiful dog. Grooming products used are Top Line (An all Natural-Organic Minnesota Manufactured Product), "Espree" Shampoos and Conditioners, and "" deShedding Ultra Premium Shampoo
Facial Products used include: "Spa" Brand Blueberry-Vanilla, and Espree Aloe Oatmeal foaming facial cleanser to remove dirt and unsightly tear and food stains while brightening any facial coloring. Pamper your pet with our best selling Ultimate Spa Service. This service begins with a check of your pet’s condition. We examine your pet for skin conditions, matting, fleas and ticks. Did you know that your groomer is often the first person to let you know there is a problem with your pet?
Then we cut and file their nails. We check their ears, clean them and pluck ear hair if necessary. Now it is time for the bath.... It always begins with a tearless Blueberry facial scrub so there will never be shampoo or soap to burn their eyes. Then comes a check of the inside of your pet's mouth and a brushing of their teeth.
We then express your pet’s anal glands upon request. Have you ever noticed your pet scooting on the ground? We shampoo every pet twice to help lift away the loose coat and follow it with a moisturizing conditioner. Your pet also receives a hand and hydro massage as part of every treatment.
We follow the bath and massage by fluff drying your pet by hand. We use a warm temperature force dryer that removes loose hair and dead cells and leaves their coat with a nice, shiny luster. We then trim their face, feet and private areas. We brush and style your pet to the breed standard or to a haircut that best suits your pet's lifestyle.
We can always finish their service with a bow or bandana. The best way to care for your pet and keep them healthy is to groom them on a regular basis. Pets need regular teeth cleaning and are subject to tartar, plaque, gingivitis and many of same diseases of the teeth and gums as humans.
Periodontal disease affects nearly 80% of all cats and dogs over the age of three. As with humans, it’s reversible condition in which bacteria get under the teeth and cause gum inflammation, eventually leading to loss of bone in the jaw and eventually leading to tooth loss.
Oral disease is one of the leading causes of other diseases in pets, according to the American Veterinary Dental Society. Bacteria incubate in the mouth and migrate to other parts of the body, including the heart and other organs.
Symptoms of gum disease in dogs and cats include yellow and brown build-up of tartar along the gum line, inflamed gums and persistent bad breath.

Cat Grooming
Barney & Cocos take pride in our Cat Grooming. We treat every cat with loving care and tenderness. We offer Flea and Tick treatments, medicated baths, and nail trimming, We specialize in the Lion cut for cats.
Although cats themselves are very good groomers, sometimes they need some help. Owners of short haired cats know that their cats shed just as much, if not more than the long haired cats. Brushing and combing regularly can also reduce those unpleasant hairballs caused by the cat swallowing hair.
Longhaired cats can get tangles that when left alone; they can turn into tight, painful mats. These mats are difficult to get out. With patience and special techniques, we can remove the mats and groom your cat. If you acquire a new kitten, be sure to start conditioning her to the grooming process early.
It may not be necessary at this time, but the kitten will get accustomed to the daily routine and will enjoy the extra attention. Everything is included in your pet's grooming, we will also inform you of anything that we may find like growths, warts, ear infections, infected teeth etc...
